Operation Manager – Packaged Gas

Job Overview:
Here are main tasks for Packaged Gases Operations Manager (PG Operations Manager)
Responsible for direction and supervision, of the continuous operation of the Packaged Gases Plants. Coordinates and directs all personnel and actions necessary to ensure plants operating conditions are always kept within optimum and safe limits.

Manage the day-to-day operations of different PG facilities.

Manage quality control plans and safety requirements.

Make sure operations personnel are trained and tasks are handled in a safely way.

Make sure maintenance tasks are performed on time and in a safely way.

Provide instructions and follow-up of safe and efficient operations.

Provide daily and monthly production analysis and KPIs for comparing the plan Vs actual Vs budget.

Report consolidated reports for all PG facilities.

Ensuring plants operation and maintenance teams have the required resources.

Conduct daily meetings to keep track of production plan.
-
Conduct a periodic audit of production process and ensure that targets are achieved.

Plan and prioritize operations to ensure maximum performance and minimum delay.

Address issues when they arise aiming for minimum disruption.

Determine production requirements based on plant capacity and specifications.
-
Resolve production issues and escalate unresolved issues to management promptly.

Assist in personnel performance evaluation.

Involved in hiring, training, and developing of a new technicians, engineers, and supervisors to improve operations and performance.

Develop / revise job descriptions and operations and maintenance procedures for the facilities.

Contribute to company purchasing decisions with emphasis on potential savings.

Implements and coordinates efficiency improvement plans to reduce production costs and increase efficiency.

Report normal, abnormal, or emergency plant conditions. Take necessary corrective action in accordance with established policy.

Oversee and provide guidance to the Maintenance team relative to equipment conditions and required maintenance activities.

Issue new operating procedures, as required, and periodically reviews existing operating procedures and issues revisions, as deemed necessary, to ensure that they reflect correct and safe operating practices.

Completes and maintains reports and any other related paperwork.

Demonstrates positive problem solving and communication skills when interacting with internal/external personnel.

Prepare annual budget for PG facilities. Monitor and report spendings monthly.
Required Experience :

Education :
Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (engineering degree preferred)

10+ years operations experience
-
5+ years operations management experience with industrial or medical gases

Must be a self-starter with the ability to drive execution of projects and strategic and tactical initiatives.

Must possess proven leadership, team building, and decision-making skills.

Must be reliability and efficiency focused and possess strong planning and execution skills.

Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to motivate and lead a diverse and inclusive workforce to achieve desired results.
